Un”beet”able Skin Care Product

Exercise is so good for us.  It helps our circulatory system, increases immunity, and supports respiratory health, sure, but all that sweat is also great for overall detoxification.  Nothing feels better than that sweaty, yet satisfying, post-workout high.  Well nothing, but that post-workout shower, perhaps.    I, like many of other people, suffer from body breakouts.  It seems like a slap in the face, doesn’t it?  You eat well, you workout, and the thanks you get is body breakouts, dry patches, or to find that other skin issues have been exacerbated by sweating?  So not cool, right? For those of you suffering from skin issues related to working out, I have some good news!  About five months ago I discovered a story about the healing properties of African Black Soap.

It’s a black soap (literally it’s black in color) made with organic dried plantain skins, palm leaves, Shea butter, virgin coconut oil, Neem tree oil, and cocoa powder.  I’m not going to lie, I can be romanced by anything claiming to give me clear, radiant skin.  So I did what any person would have done, I ordered some to try myself.  I ordered four bars of it on Amazon for $12.00 and figured, hey, what’s the worst thing that can happen, it doesn’t work?  Several days later my package arrived.  Luckily (and this is oozing with sarcasm this luckily) I had just happened to have a tiny skin issue present itself to really put this product to the test.  I used the soap, which is again, literally black, on my face that night.  I instantly felt a tingle on my skin the moment I applied it, and it left my skin feeling really clean and tight immediately after I rinsed it off.   I didn’t know what to expect, I really had no expectation, to be honest.  I am no stranger to being let down by products claiming to “miraculously” heal skin.  However, to my delight, the next morning my skin was clear!  Seriously, I could have broken into a Disney-esque song and dance I was so delighted!  Finally something that does what it claims it will do!  There are many companies producing African Black Soap these days, and I have tried several of them, but nothing compares to that first brand I tried.  Brace yourselves for the name of my soap of choice …Dudu Oson.  Do not judge a product by its name people, trust me!  This soap didn’t just work for me, it also has worked for several other people I recommended it to for various skin issues from psoriasis to eczema.  I cannot say enough good things about it.  It is absolutely wonderful and a must have for your gym bag all year long!

What must-have skin care products are in your gym bag?
